Hootora

Terms of Use

Who can use Hootora

Accounts are created and managed by parents or legal guardians aged 18 or over. Children use Hootora only through a parent's account and under that parent's supervision. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for all activity on your account.

What Hootora is

Hootora is a practice aid that turns your child's schoolwork into short spoken revision sessions. Questions, hints and progress insights are generated with AI and may sometimes be imperfect. Hootora does not replace school teaching, and its insights are estimates, not formal assessments or diagnoses.

Your content

You keep ownership of the schoolwork photos, PDFs and notes you upload. You give us permission to process them only to build your child's sessions and progress summaries. Only upload material you have the right to use, and do not upload content that is unlawful or unrelated to learning.

Plans and payments

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Hootora, try to access other accounts, copy or resell the service, or interfere with its security. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Hootora available and accurate but provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can delete children or your account at any time. We will delete the related data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For important changes we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Hootora means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes fall under the courts of India.
